About us

At LCK9, we believe every dog has purpose, drive, and potential when given the right structure, training, and leadership. Founded on discipline, trust, and real-world working dog experience, LCK9 specializes in obedience, controlled aggression/personal protection, behavioral development, tracking, detection foundations, and tactical K9 training designed to build confident dogs and capable handlers.

Lead by passionate trainers with a strong background in working dogs, search and rescue, and performance driven training, LCK9 focuses on creating reliable dogs both on and off the field. Whether developing high-drive Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds, family protection dogs, or companion animals needing structure and obedience, our goal remains the same: produce clear communication, strong obedience, and lasting results.

At LCK9, we emphasize accountability, consistency, and relationship-based training - because great dogs are earned, not created overnight. Our programs are built to challenge both the dog and the handler while developing confidence, control, and trust in every environment.

From puppy foundations to advanced working dog development, LCK9 is committed to raising the standard of canine training while honoring the loyalty and capability of the working dog community.

Coley Stanley

Owner

My name is Coley Stanley, I am the owner of LCK9. I currently serve as a firefighter/EMT, a career that has build my passion for helping others and strengthened my ability to remain calm, disciplined, and dependable in high-pressure situations. That same mindset carries directly into my work with dogs and the foundation of LCK9.

My passion for working dogs, especially Search and Rescue K9's, led me to create LCK9 with a focus on real-world performance, obedience, and strong handler relationships. I work alongside my SAR K9, Garmin, a Belgian Malinois trained through LCK9 in both tracking and cadaver detection. Training and handling Garmin has allowed me to combine my emergency services background with my dedication to canine development and search work.

LCK9 was built on the belief that strong dogs are created through consistency, trust, and hard work. Every dog and handler team is different, and I take pride in helping build confidence, reliability, and a stronger connection between them. Whether in training, Search and Rescue work, or everyday life, my goal is to continue building capable dogs that are ready to perform when it matters most.

Lead Trainer

My name is Lee Stanley, and my passion for dogs started as early as I can remember. Growing up, I spent my middle school and high school years working with hunting dogs, which laid the foundation for what would eventually become a lifelong career in K-9 training and handling.

After college, I began my career in law enforcement, where I quickly realized that working with Police K-9s was exactly where I belonged. Early in my career, I dedicated countless hours volunteering at training days, working as a decoy, wearing the bite suit, and assisting with dogs from agencies throughout the surrounding area. Those experiences gave me invaluable exposure to canine behavior, drive development, and a variety of training methodologies while helping me understand how to shape behaviors in dogs with different personalities and working styles.

After several years of dedication and hands-on experience, I earned my first Police K-9 position. More than 12 years later, I still have the same passion and drive to learn, improve, and grow every single day. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to train under and learn from some of the most respected names in the K-9 industry across the country and internationally. I’ve taken those experiences and developed a balanced, adaptable training style built around the individual dog standing in front of me.

My approach focuses on developing a dog’s natural drives while creating clarity, confidence, and reliability in every task asked of them. I believe in balanced training methods that incorporate natural instinct, classical conditioning, and operant conditioning to build strong communication and trust between handler and dog.

Over the years, I’ve trained and worked with numerous active and retired K-9 teams throughout the country in obedience, tracking, detection, controlled aggression, and behavior shaping. I have completed multiple trainer courses and am recognized as a trainer through the United Police Work Dog Association (UPWDA), a national organization that certifies police and civilian dogs across multiple disciplines.

While my background is deeply rooted in working dogs and law enforcement K-9s, my true passion is helping all dogs and handlers succeed — whether that’s police K-9s, search and rescue dogs, personal protection dogs, or family companions. At LCK9, our goal is to build confident dogs, capable handlers, and lasting relationships through clear communication, structure, and proven training methods.
